The hotel is old, but very nice and nostalgic, just a shame that the lamp on the bed was broken and even worse, both heaters were not warm. Otherwise it is clean and the staff very friendly and helpful!

We only wanted to stay one night but we liked it so much that we stayed for 2 nights. Super friendly! Super clean!

Since we couldn't find the entrance to the parking lot, I called briefly and the receptionist (son of the owner) came out and instructed us. Friendliness, cleanliness, implementation of the hygiene concept and a very good breakfast ... what more could you want as a guest? We'll definitely be back.

The house is centrally located and offers clean, simple rooms with a view of the former abbey and the church. Good breakfast and a friendly staff.

Nice hotel in the city center with a view of the old abbey. The tastefully decorated, large rooms had only recently been completely renovated. The bathroom was a dream. The rooms were quiet, the breakfast was extensive and delicious. There were two guest lounges with a well-stocked beverage cooler. The hosts were very friendly and attentive, we will definitely come back one day.

Update 31.5 - 1.06.2020 here again. It was a wonderful relaxation. Friendly welcome. Parking place top again. This time the room to the rear with the window (next time we will use the comfort room on the 2nd floor again, but only because of the great view of the church at night, ideal for night shots 📸) In our eyes all became Corona Exemplary compliance with regulations. At night you could sleep comfortably, everything was quiet, bathroom was great again. And the breakfast was great from the two nice ladies. Everything at the table as pre-ordered at check-in. My special request was fulfilled without any problems and the distances in the breakfast room were respected everywhere, so we look forward to our next visit to the golden star. There was a recommendation for the room and so we were allowed to choose between two rooms. So we got to one of the newly renovated rooms on the 2nd floor. A large, bright room awaited us. Great huge bathroom, cozy bed and a view of the basilica rounded off the whole thing. The wellness area is wonderful including the water beds to relax in and breakfast the next morning with a good-humored waitress who made us fresh scrambled eggs with a wide range of breakfast delicacies. There are rooms to relax and read books as well as parking spaces. A very nice hotel which we would like to occupy again when we are in Prüm. We can only recommend it positively.

Ambience rustic, hotel and decor nice, very clean, price fair. 1 point deduction, as our room was directly above the smoker area of ​​the pub underneath. Airing was not really possible. Small defects in the bathroom (bracket and shower door slightly defective) but still usable. Breakfast buffet was delicious, but could be a bit cheaper. Still nice hotel with great flair. we like to come back.

For one night I was allowed to stay in this house. A decent, friendly room with a bed that lives up to its name. The bathroom is modern and clean. Everything looks very fresh. In the morning a good breakfast with a very friendly and attentive staff. Wi-Fi is available and free, parking is available at the house, but are subject to a charge. I can recommend the house, I would also like to stay there privately.

The rooms are good. As in many hotels but the rooms are too noisy. I had the room 79, I call it the Princess Room. 😂 The service was definitely good, very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good, but I have had a better choice. There is a parking behind the hotel, but costs 5 € extra. You do not get dinner at the hotel, but right next door is a restaurant. Overall a good hotel, which you can recommend without further ado.

Average hotel, but one of only 2 in the area. Wifi can be spotty. Hot water didn't work for me one of the days. Has breakfast and room is fine. Located in the middle of town and walkable to most nearby restaurants.

Loved this hotel. I had the buddy room. It was really beautiful and felt at home here completely. Lovely location and beautiful walks.
